    Slant six c body

That Haze Green 68 looks just like the Fury I Slant 6 auto I used to own. It was a stripped down thing... radio delete, no PS, no PB, just a heater for those Canadian winters up here. Great cars.

1968 New Yorker Valuation and opinions needed

Slabs were the height of build quality for C bodies and arguably 68 was best as the bugs had been worked out at the end of the run...things dropped off badly from a quality standpoint on the Fusey's (gaps, door closure, materials). Formals started out roughly at Fusey quality levels but steadily...

1968 New Yorker Valuation and opinions needed

The missing trim is a big negative...very hard to find in decent shape.

What's the $$Point of no Return??

Inflation is murdering people's pocket books. Very little discretionary funds out there.

Bad news for my '67 Fury III hardtop

The stub should be the same, but the engine mounts on the stub are very likely different from the 6 to the 8. The torsion bars for the 8 will likely meed to be swapped too as they were beefier from the 6s.

Finally on the lift need help with frame@

No problem. As mentioned above, C bodies are unibody construction from the firewall back...the body is the frame. Up front Chrysler used a stub frame that mounted the engine, trans, brakes, suspension and the front clip was mounted up after the body was dropped onto the assembed Stub frame on...

Finally on the lift need help with frame@

If you are talking about the stub frame, I'd replace it with a rust free piece.

    Phantom C bodies

No...these Chrysler Valiants were tiny compared to C bodies...think "A body" when looking at these...like 111 inch wheel base max.

    Phantom C bodies

Not factory. I suspect it was done by one of the aftermarket shops that specialized in that trade however...like the company that did the Cordoba convertibles.

    Early disk brakes

Only one error regarding the rotors that I felt obliged to correct. The Budd rotors bolf to a hub assemby. All Budd rotors have the same bolt circle for the hub. The hubs are what give the different bolt circles for the rims to bolt to. There are two different hubs for Budd brakes: Imperial or...

1965 fury Speedometer removal and calibration

Like rd92west said, the way to bring back the speedometer to reading "true" is through the speedo drive gear. Since yours is reading wrong, I presume you changed something...either tires or diff ratio as these are what will affect how the speedo reads.

Bad news for my '67 Fury III hardtop

Sorry to see the smashed C's...but as long as they did their job and you survived to tell the tale, that's what is important. I hope you're feeling better soon!

    67 Polara 500 convertible

Somebody is going to get an amazing car. This is the bench mark, in my opinion, on how to do these cars (white walls, factory wheel covers...little Mopar tweaks like Mbody 15x7 rims).
