1969 power bench seat wiring help

Those switches can be finicky. You might need take it apart and clean the contacts. There is a procedure in the FSM on how to jump the switch pins to get power to the motor and check the action and test the switch. There is a member here that rebuilds the switches as well, @Devinism.

    What is this?

The back is just swedged on, you could grind it down, pop out the rivet and the just re attach with a machine screw. If you can print a few, I’m sure there are other members here that could use them. Maybe make some of your costs back, just a thought.

    What is this?

If it’s anything like the ‘69-‘73 window tracts, that plastic piece is pressed directly into the slider, I don’t think you are going to find the individual PN, it’s replaced as a unit. Here is the slider from my ‘70.

    8 track question

Here is a non-8 track dash, and a view from the back of the dash. I don’t see where you can retro fit an 8 track without getting the correct dash. It doesn’t seem to have simple cut out lines like the Plymouth.

The Fury is a very different face plate than the 1970 Chrysler 300 dash. Here is one from a Chrysler.

    Steering wheel question

The earlier cars were obviously square. Perhaps there is a technical reason for them to be out of round. How do you plan on doing the restoration on the wheel?

    Steering wheel question

@Stargazer Hang on a second, I think I may be wrong in that. I took some measurements of the ‘69 wheel I have. Looks like there is a difference of 1/2 inch. Top to bottom is 15 1/4, side to side is 15 3/4, so you may be good.

Seat belt questions - cleaning them, and diff's between '67 and after (buckle is chromed vs plastic covered)

I do all of the cleaning, cooking and laundry in the house, and I work from home so there is plenty of time for experimentation, LOL.

Seat belt questions - cleaning them, and diff's between '67 and after (buckle is chromed vs plastic covered)

I did a little bit of pre clean scrubbing, then ran them through the dish washer. Hung them out to dry, and they came out nice and clean!

    1970, 300 door panels

The pattern is also the same for the rear doors of the 4 door models. You can peel the vinyl and glue it to the door cards of the convertible panels. Just a thought as it could provide more options in your search. That was my plan before I found a decent set of panels. Here is a link for...

Just checked the website, they have black front and rear for 1970 300 convertible, but not white. Figures, since I just started to work on the interior of my vert project.

    Theoretical question (glovebox)

Mine (1970) is in two pieces, but not sure about 1968. Remove the screws and box light and the top comes out first, then the bottom. Comes out the opening of the glove box door.
