Provided it checks out in person (verified 30K mileage, no rust, good paint), it's worth $20K all day long, original motor or not.

Looks like an 8 to me, no way to really tell for sure. Some pics show the aqua blue paint, some show rusty orange. It's all conjecture until someone crawls around underneath, but it looks like the dealer already did that. It's still a nice U code that may or may not have the original motor.

The transmission matches: The block casting is from 1968 which is not date correct: And the engine pad is conveniently unreadable: That being said, I doubt it's original, the block is originally aqua blue, or even an HP engine, the valve covers look freshly painted. Someone would have...

It has the front grill and lights assembly from a '69 300. Not a bad starting point, mine was a bit worse off when I got it.
