I was thinking a good spirited drive would maybe clean up the plugs and some of the gunk off of the valves if that old carb was running too rich and carboned up the combustion chamber and exhaust system some. Couldn't hurt.

This is the style on my 65 383. Pretty sure it is a copy of the original. I have no idea if they were different for 2bbl or 4bbl air cleaners.

Not one year only. 65 uses the same part and maybe 67 too but are usually broken and pitted. Mine were broken as well. If you have the pieces, you can fix them with a product called Q Bond. NAPA sells it among other stores. Super Glue and baking soda will do pretty good job as well. The repair...

What about the rear bracket? If you have that one it will knock of some shipping weight and maybe even a smaller box.

Is your car a 383? The large bracket on the back will not fit a 440 or small block.

It has been in my shop loft for quite a while. I took it off of my 67 Chrysler 300 when it got totaled back in 2006. I had it for sale at a swap meet for $100.00 but no takers so pretty dusty now. Clutch and bearing seems good yet too. Here are a couple pics.
