Sitting for 17 Years and bringing back.

That's perseverance. Good for you....time to get back to that car. The illustrations in paper manual are considerably clearer than the PDF version. That counts when you're trying to figure out that leeeetle spring or detent ball or o-ring seal or bitty gasket.

You DO have a service manual, yes?

Sitting for 17 Years and bringing back.

When I rebuilt my 68 Dart's suspension back in 1977, I "accidentally" read and understood the FSM's part about leaving things finger tight, etc. Otherwise my young self would have just checked the torque chart and tightened everything up while it was on (borrowed) jackstands. I lowered it...

    Indeed. From the Service Manual:

If it's a 1970 Chrysler or something similar, this Home Depot spring will work.

    65 Monaco molding clips

I think you did some serious justice for the first post of your upcoming "65 Monaco build thread"!:thumbsup:
  9. Trace 300 Hurst

    65 Monaco molding clips

Very very nice. Not too late to start a standalone "build thread" along the lines of what many here have done. Pics, explanation of the work, the decisions made for what reasons....all interesting to us and useful info for the next guy. It can be done in little pieces, chronologically, so...

    65 Monaco molding clips

That's too bad, but it's the reason that all emblems and trim have been attached with "serious" 3M quality double-back tape for the past 30 years. Think about all the panel rust that's been caused by screw holes and clips/studs during the preceding 70 years. The rocker molding on my 71 Cuda...

    65 Monaco molding clips

That clips looks SO commonplace for every Ford, Chevy and Mopar out there, with thousands of similar one laying around in every junkyard. Hard to believe that RT doesn't have such a simple thing.

Hey, I'm just the messenger here, so cool out. After all, YOU said "it makes perfect sense".

You might want to be careful....Stellantis' lawyers don't have a sense of humor about this. ECS and others do a lot of "lawyering" with Ma Mopar for Pentastar stuff.

    C Body Rag Joint

Nope...back to steering gear issues. But I've been taking that same basic '63 Split pic for 30 years at car shows or wherever. I once took six that were identical in composition (like the ones above) but with differing colors and had them framed together in a collage.....I spent a lot of time...

I kinda figgered somebody would bring up Elwood.

    C Body Rag Joint

I've been attending Kissimmee (and Indy, and several of the other smaller venues at a whim) for ten or eleven years, and this one was extraordinary. EVERYTHING was there! Okay, I'm going back on topic. Rubber biscuits.

YOU'RE the one who keeps saying "kick down" linkage. :) Hell, even Chrysler doesn't know what to call it! I have to leave this thread now because I need to post up pics of all the Tri-Power E-Bods and A-12 cars at Kissimmee....
