Back in the Mopar Boat, after 25 years!

Chasing electronical gremlins is frustrating, because you just can't see those tiny damn electrons and where they're going or being blocked from going! But it's Oh-So-Gratifying when you make that simple discovery and suddenly your blower and trunk release works properly.

    While we’re under the hood...

Very cool. Eye-catching stuff, even if it didn't work so great. :wideyed:

    While we’re under the hood...

That's exactly the case with conversion to electronic ignition. I don't even "see" it anymore, unless it's a ham-fisted install with the box on the fender, etc. My filter housing looks perfect. But do the vacuum hoses to the snorkel dashpots actually go to some source of vacuum. Hell no...

    While we’re under the hood...

I see your point, Dave, and normally I would agree. But assuming it's a concours show [Pebble, Amelia?] with seriously knowledgeable judging, that means that all the other components that would be hooked to those wires and hoses must be there as well, and apparently that stuff is missing on...

    While we’re under the hood...

First, thanks to CBODY67 for that excellent write-up about Lean Burn. I also fought with ELB systems (and the annoying hoses of Evaporation Control systems) at a Chrysler dealership in the mid-70s as a young and slightly more "enlightened" mechanic regarding electronic doings, and he's right...

    C body made in Canada?

I doubt that. It's a very official Chrysler sticker, and it wouldn't have been added by some Canadian governmental agency a decade later. I don't think that counts at "imported". If I sell my 300 to someone in Canada next week.....it's not imported. There's a part number on that sticker...
