Great idea!! I am not saving the bars. I desperately need to invest in a torch. Boy would that have solved a world of problems already.

So I can't remove them towards the front of the car? I have completed all of the other steps. Guess that means I will have to remove my exhaust if they have to come out the back.

I have released the tension and the clip is out of the anchor. I slid them back and the entire front suspension is off of the car. I am trying to slide them back forward and remove the old seals so that I can slide in the new ones from the front.

Changing out the torsion bars on my '65 Polara. Using the police car/HD 1.06'' ones from firm feel. I ordered the new seals as well, but I have having hell fully removing the old bars and seals. Is there a trick to this? A trick to installing the new bars/seals? Everything on this car seems...
