More updates. Body work mostly done. Now onto aligning and fitting all the panels and getting it ready for stripping the rest of the paint/ rust and then onto paint. Recently recieved all the bits for the engine rebuild. Other items i still need to order are a new carb, alternator, starter...

Rear hatch area replaced along with the trunk floors. Another week or so of cutting and welding, then another week of aligning all the body panels and getting the fitment right. Hope to have it at the paint shop next month. It'll be painted by the same person as my Newport a few years back.

Rear valance repair complete. Basically a new one made from scratch... Now onto the rear deck lid around the hatch area.

More crazy bodywork. Does not have to be perfect. Will go over with bondo anyway. Then rust proof the whole thing with Krown ;) Complete engine rebuild kit on the way as well. Both rockers left and right, complete floors, wheel arches are done. Now they are starting on the front and rear...

Both rocker panels done more or less. Floors on one side. Sub frame structures rebuilt in some areas.

More work on the green creature. Lots of fabrication required - especially on the rocker panels and floors off ebay. It really does not need to be perfect. Would be nice if it was more or less straight, with most of the rust cut out and replaced. I will Krown rust proof the car with drilling...

The car rolled in the body shop. Some very small progress, custom fabricating the inner rocker panel. & a nice Biscayne being put together at the shop. Not mine

It's too long in most modern garages as well... anyway, in Poland, that's why i'm gonna build a custom garage man cave not too long from now ;) Beautiful car. The fusies have aged very well over time.

The green turd has changed color. Lots of rust and a little more ;) . The metal man is gonna have fun cutting and welding all this mess. The paint shop is scheduled for march 2024, a bit on the optimistic side.

I Don't know, but will check. In the meantime got some bits from the US, and the car was completely dissasembled. Floors, rocker panels, rear window foil, centercaps.... and new windshield - which arrived cracked. Damn. Lots of sandblasting bits and powdercoating underway.

I would prefer it to be a nice stock classic. So will be rebuilding the 232. I'm not looking for power anyway, the stock numbers are just fine for the small Gremmy. Need to measure the block and crank to order the correct size bearings and pistons. 600 USD for a complete master rebuild kit is...
