Coolant on the Passenger Floorboard - '65 Chrysler 300 Factory AC

Really, but it doesn't surprise me that you had it done right.

Coolant on the Passenger Floorboard - '65 Chrysler 300 Factory AC

You should have rebuilt that before you put it in the first time. :poke: It's like a guy who had his engine out of the car and didn't rebuilt it at that time, even though guys advice him to. :)

Coolant on the Passenger Floorboard - '65 Chrysler 300 Factory AC

Man that sucks Scott. Check the lines too going in and out at the firewall. I had an issue with a connection there and it flowed straight into the floor on the passenger side.

    Painting wheel wells

Never thought of that, I can see where it would have more the factory look. Do you recall the brand you used?

    Painting wheel wells

That is basically what I did. I remember I used 2 different kinds of rubberized undercoating. One I liked, which was closer to the factory texture, and the other I did not like was just a little texture, and even think it wasn't very black, more charcoal. Maybe someone here with a better...

Where there manual A/C along with ATC

Very cool information. Looking forward to hearing about your results. Take lots of pictures during the process. :) I checked out Unwired Tools, I love the little cottage industry. Which set up did you buy?

Where there manual A/C along with ATC

Jeff you give me hope in my on going A/C car search. We will need a full write-up on your buddies Imperial. I am guessing it might be pretty far down on the to do list, however. First would be just to get it home. :)

Where there manual A/C along with ATC

This is good info to know, nice to know I can keep all my options open. If you and buddy get the ATC running on the 67 Imperial that will be interesting too.

Where there manual A/C along with ATC

Thanks guys for the education. FYI the '67 Imperial I looked at today was built on April 5th and had ATC.

Where there manual A/C along with ATC

Do to my recent education on ATC, I feel like it would be a deal breaker when I get my next car, especially since A/C it is one of the main options I want on another car. Were there manual A/C units along with ATC every year for our c-bodies? In case it matters most interested in 65-71. Did...

Identifying a 67 Imperial ATC car

Thanks @detmatt for decoding the fender tag this morning. You are the man! This is all your fault too. :)

That's impressive Jeff and I thought I couldn't tell much from the pictures.

Identifying a 67 Imperial ATC car

I learn something new everyday so what would be considered a high or premium line in the Imperial.

Identifying a 67 Imperial ATC car

Thanks Jeff that was a quick answer. Anyway to diagnose if it is fully functional. It is going to be 20 so I am not really concerned about the charge on the A/C

Identifying a 67 Imperial ATC car

I am going to check out a 67 Imperial. It is an A/C car. I presume if it is an ATC car it will be clearly displaced as one. I am hoping and thinking that is will not be. The VIN lists it as a medium optioned car, I figure that is a good sign. I know it has power vents and leather buckets...

    Factory A/C rebuild in a '66

I couldn't dismantle the car, it is a great survivor. He has put a lot effort into making it a sleeper dragster, not really my thing. I am really interested in a nice cruiser with A/C, on the other side of the coin if this was a wagon in this condition I would have bought it. I still have the...

    Factory A/C rebuild in a '66

Somebody will get a great car, just bad timing, too many irons in the fire.

    Factory A/C rebuild in a '66

Well I made the trip to see the hardtop. Mechanically outstanding, he has owned the car for 20 years and was a Chrysler mechanic. Super solid rust and ding free body. Paint thin in a few spots. He has rebuilt a strong 440 with a performance cam and TNT set up, not original engine, but came...

    Factory A/C rebuild in a '66

Officially looking at this car on Thrusday. It might be fate, I schedule a stay at a vineyard for a couple of nights with my wife, back in December. We are driving right past where the car is located. He got the car out of storage last weekend, so a test drive will now be included. Only...
