Holy schneikies! It’s been a looong time since posting here. Sad to say, but I’ve finally gotten the gumption to get it sold. I don’t drive it at all any more so it’s time to pass it on to a new custodian.

    67 coupe engine option....

It’s possible that there was a late option.

I tried to buy an Imperial and failed, but got this instead!

Thanks for tagging me. I sent Coco a PM to see if he’s still looking for an Imperial.

1967 Imperial Crown Sedan... need fuel sending unit

Scour the Imperial club website. There’s information on this type of error and how to remedy it.

    1966 Imperial Odometer

A member here will soon be coming into several gauge clusters for that era car. He might get a ‘66. Sorry to be cryptic, but it’s not my deal to disclose.

    Norm’s Imperial

You saw the email? Good. He was telling me all sorts of details, but I told him there’s no way I’m remembering all of them. I figured I’d send you both a link to the same folder and you could go over it.

    Norm’s Imperial

I went to look at some seats for detmatt today up about a half hour from me. The guy who has them is an Imperialist I’ve met before from the Yahoo! Groups Imperial list, Norm. He’s got a nice original Imperial ‘vert and just got a gorgeous ‘64 Sedan de Ville. If I had off street parking, it...

    headers for a 68 Imperial

Longer tubes give more torque. The reason that headers are associated with high rpm power is that they’re a pain in the *** in many cases so the only people who put up with them are people who are looking for big power... at higher rpm. You won’t find anyone who will guarantee fitment for an...

    Excuse my ignorance but ?

You will want to run 91 octane or higher in your Imperial. They had 10:1 compression and were intended for US “premium” fuel. It will run fine on unleaded, as it’s the octane requirement that is important (along with the ethanol) to how well it runs. The lead lubricated or cushioned the...

    Tire size 66 imperial

About the same width, but different aspect ratio. My understanding is that the old tires were closer to 85% aspect ratio. That makes the 235/75-15 is shorter than the 9.15. Since nobody makes a 235/85 or a white wall 245/75, we all go with 235/75-15. So this is greater detail in agreement...

No ice cream. We were coming back from bike riding practice. we live in a hilly area so we aren’t doing the basics here. She wanted to take my car, but the bike wouldn’t fit in the trunk with training wheels. I told her that we could either take my car and she would start riding without training...

I’m sure I’ll just leave it as is because it’s done. Found a few other things. Nobody put the trunk rubber on, and my seat belt wasn’t re-attached after the upholstery was done. Luckily the rear seat belts were in and the car seats still work fine.

I get what you guys are saying, and they’re not in the brochure. However, it’s been discussed that brochures aren’t definitive for a number of reasons (pre-production cars, artistic license, myriad options). It’s good evidence and I’m not trying to say you’re wrong, just that it’s not 100%. On...

That could be so, but the ones that were there before were a dead ringer for color and wear pattern. If they weren’t factory, they were painted on at roughly the same time. My memory (also imperfect) suggests I’ve seen the stripes elsewhere. Maybe I’ll ask the Imperial club peeps.
