Here are the new replacement parts. Shown are the left and right 1 piece manifold to muffler pipes. Left side was spot on. the right had to be massaged a little. It appears the correct exhaust hangers need are the same as my Hurst 300. Universal hangers were employed currently. see last 4 photos

Next to do was address the leak prone patched up exhaust. The cure was to install a dual exhaust kit from Waldron w/ Imperial mufflers. As you can see the present exhaust Had been patched up many times

Looks great Randy. The exhaust tone should be more to your liking. Are you planning to attended Tim's 8th Annual C Body Show in June. As for details on it still nothing official. Hope to have the Hurst 300 ready.

Is this salvageable. My OEM heater control valve has begun to leak coolant. The housing parts appear to be in excellent condition w/ no cracks. Response at the dash controls is spot on. The rub is where to get gaskets to repair it. Are there any underlining failures I need to look for. If it...

Thanks Trace, that gives me some good feed back. My concern was the best quality dye or paint that didn't have too heavy a spray pattern and build up on the surface.

Here is a kicker that I need an answer to. What color are the front bucket seat backs supposed to be painted. Is it the saddle Tan or the hurst gold. Is there an exact paint color code that supports this. I just want to restore this w/ no mistakes. I started to clean them and a lot of color came...

Well that explains the deafening silence I've had from them. Well fellow Hurst owners on FCBO can we pool our knowledge. A better solution has to be out there.

While going through the rear diff. I found out I have one bent rear wheel. The replacement wheel I have. the strips I do not. Anyone know If I can buy just stripes for the rims.

My thoughts on blasting were getting rid of all the media afterwords. Also possible contamination during the paint process = complete disaster.

The finished product. not perfect. The paint pattern is exact replication attempt.

Here are the last of the before photos. If you look closely, you can see rust pits in the metal surface which had to be sanded out. some heavy pitting areas remained after multiple attempts sanding priming.

Here is something to think over. My camera is 10+ years old, (750 dpi) and worked well enough to post the pic on 1/25/24. Yet it doesn't now. The facts don't add up. I can post anywhere but here. Definitely a problem w/in the forum after 1/25/24.

I rarely complain about much around here, but as a FCBO Gold member I am still using the same camera as I did a few years ago. I expect to be able to post photos taken from years ago. My last posting was 1/25/24 w/ no problems. This greatly effects how to share content.
