    Rip? Rip?

This one got my attention a few years ago. It was in SE South Dakota.

Grandparents Brand New 67 Chrysler 300

The '68 brochure shows the Newport having less leaf springs than the 300 and New Yorker.

    1968 300 440 TNT Newby Questions

I would highly recommend pulling the valve covers and rocker shafts and spraying all the valves with penetrating oil and using a plastic dead blow to bump all the valves until they all return freely. You can usually tell by the sound of the valves against the seats. Getting all the pushrods in...

    1968 300 440 TNT Newby Questions

The knob may be for balance and the thumb wheel a fader. I expect this may have the additional speakers on the dash.

    1968 300 440 TNT Newby Questions

The fader knob is original. It replaced the earlier thumb wheel at least on the AM/FM and the AM/8 track. I would wager this is a later '68 with the black tail panel. The later AM/FM had the round knobs vs the thumb rollers. I think they switched over mid year in '67. The reverberator is a...

    Trunk lid stuck closed

Pull/slide the lock retainer out and pull the lock assembly out. Then you can use a screwdriver to turn the latch.

    New (used) wheels and tires

Sorry for the stray off of subject. My personal opinion is that Magnums look better than most anything on a '65-'68 C-body.

    New (used) wheels and tires

I owned this New Yorker for over 20 years, but it now belongs to my cousin. He has had everything to finish the Indy headed 493 for some time, but he keeps putting it on the back burner. I did the paint and body, and all the parts searching and selecting to make a combo that should clear 700hp...

    New (used) wheels and tires

Not something you would do to your car, but just a reference to making more room. Fit 295/65 Mickey Thompsons with a B-body width Dana and moved the leaf springs inward .750". The wheel houses are untouched.

    Well, that's just sad....

I'll try to be a pest more often... May even hijack this thread... Here's my latest Mopar acquisition to replace my car daily driver. A lot easier to get in and out of, vs a car. It has a new transmission, new tires and has never had any rust. Have a nice set of refurbished SS/T wheels...

    Well, that's just sad....

I'm not kicking as high these days. Had some hardware added and have considerable pain yet and some possibly permanent nerve damage. Still can't put in a full day, or my right leg starts buckling and it gets difficult to walk. Definitely better than before the surgery, so walking at all is a...

    '68 300 project

Very nice 300. I still have my red '68 that I've had since I was 13. It's not nearly as nice as your car, but I've seen a lot rougher vehicles brought back. The tail panels were silver on the early "68 300s and they supposedly changed to black due to complaints of headlights reflecting back on...

    Well, that's just sad....

    Back After 3 years!

Can't go wrong with Magnums on the '65-'68 Chryslers. I believe everyone should be able to fix their old Mopar the way they want, unless they want to put big diameter wheels on it.

    Back After 3 years!

Looks like a nice solid car. You may not want to go this deep, but if you did, I don't think you would regret it.

It´s time for the Slab picture thread

I have a bad weakness for the '67-'68 Chryslers about equal to my weakness for the '68-'70 Plymouth B bodies. Unfortunately I really like the '57 Chrysler and DeSotos also. It would save a great deal of time and money to have a clear favorite... There are the '66 & '67 Plymouth Bs as well...

It´s time for the Slab picture thread

The '68 Fury III was an exceptionally nice car inside and out. A friend's dad bought it at an auction and within about 6 months he overheated it and cooked the engine. He offered to sell it to me, but I only had $200 at the time. He said hell no and then came back a couple weeks later and took...

It´s time for the Slab picture thread

This '70 Road Runner I got when I was 14 for $50 with no drivetrain and the air grabber hood was swapped for a standard RR hood. I didn't get a job until I was 15 so I had saved 50 cents every day of school by getting just a shake instead of the whole lunch. I bought the white 300 for $300 after...
