Exhaust Manifold Heat Control Valve Missing

I actually saw your post on Slip Plate and the Canadian guy Stanton too. Others recommended Fluid Film also but I just got a gallon of SP. A lifetime supply for me.

Exhaust Manifold Heat Control Valve Missing

It’s for the ‘65 300L that has its own thread called “The cat is out of the bag”. The manifold was originally soaked in a molasses, believed it or not. That did take a lot of rust off but I wasn’t satisfied with the look. It was recently blasted with “well worn slag”. I’m going to try a product...

1965 BB Left Motor Mount Replacement Rubber

I saw an old post of a member here selling just the rubber replacement. (The thread is closed) Does anyone know where to purchase it? I’ve noticed the couple venders selling the complete unit, with bracket, or a complete set for both sides.

Exhaust Manifold Heat Control Valve Missing

I was a little concerned the sleeves might twist out while tapping. I like that solution to fill the holes.

Exhaust Manifold Heat Control Valve Missing

There were 2 short bolts, one on each side and I removed them thinking they hindered the exhaust flow. But now that I’m re-thinking that it must not matter because that rod, for the valve was in there anyways. Duh.

As shown in the picture the valve and all the parts are gone. Is tapping threads for plugs a good solution?

What Engine is in my Boat?

The 3505s carburetors are ‘63-‘64 AFB’s. They came on the Chrysler “Letter” cars, the 300J & 300K model. The block cast number applied to the 413 block. Nice setup with the long ram intake manifolds.

Does this Lift make my stroker look fat?

Because of the virus/country shut down Fastenal shipping service was divided into east and west. Part of the problem was their fleet, truck, replacement schedule got screwed up and the shortage of drivers. That is what I was told back then. I figured Fastenal would get back on track but...

1976 Gran fury wagon. Want to go from 440 to a 318

So based on your response’s @76fury, you want the 440 for your truck project. Now would be an excellent time for your son’s “shade tree mechanics” lessons. It would keep the Fury wagon off the road until completion. Your son would have a vested interest and maybe some blood in the engine swap...

1968 300, any way to have engine temp lights AND a gauge?

There is a second hole by the idiot light sending unit to place another temperature gauge sending unit on the front of the engine.
