out of curiosity, why would the 300's have the springs but not fury's?

I'm installing the lights on my car that Didn't come with the hideaway's. at Carlisle I noticed the 300's lights have a little round spring's where the bar turns the lights up. mine didn't come with these springs. where can I get them? and are they really important?
