When I install the converter and trans to the motor how much should I pull the converter back out of the trans towards the motor. Thanks Mike

I have a 3500 stall and it has some weight's tacked on it , now what I need to no is if this conv. is for a cast crank motor and if it is can I remove the weight's for my motor it has a steel crank. Thanks for you help
