Effects of sitting 33 years in a dirt floor shed

Since I last logged in to this page I've been busy building my new shop for "Grace". I've torn down the old barn on my property and erected a new 40 x 60 garage/shop. The outside is now complete and it's time to start framing inside. "Grace is still patiently waiting....

Effects of sitting 33 years in a dirt floor shed

Effects of sitting 33 years in a dirt floor shed

I've already sourced a low mileage 383 4 bbl out of a 66 Chrysler. Since the '62 is not a high-dollar collector car I've opted to do the swap and junk the 361.

Effects of sitting 33 years in a dirt floor shed

Sitting in a dirt floor shed for 33 years was more than even this old 361 could handle. #7 cylinder obviously was sitting with open exhaust valve allowing moisture penetration. The cure? '66 383 4 bbl should fit nicely in "Grace", the '62 Newport.
