    I double checked the 72 parts catalog and it shows vacuum reservoir for ATC cars only, but it seems strange not to have vacuum canister, I was sure that's why the vacuum hose was so long.

    You're right Big_John, I was just trying to show the overall length of the hose, it's too small to fit on any of the ports on the canister which is evap. only as far as I know. Looks like I need to purchase a new fitting for my intake manifold. This is the only reference I could find in the FSM.

    I checked with 440 source, and heard back from Terry, he stated that this pan will fit C body's as it has the notch to clear the suspension. I'll pass along an update when the motor gets installed. Thanks Dave & volksword for weighing in.

    Yep what twostick said, in addition the valve springs and locks might need an upgrade based on your cam selection.

    I would never install new heads (no matter what brand) without having them checked out by a reputable machine shop. Cheaper than damaging a motor and having to disassemble and repair.

    I just purchased an old aluminum intake manifold, decent shape but it has some carbon buildup. I looked online and I've seen everything from basting crushed walnut shells to over the counter cleaners to oven cleaner. Anybody here have hands on experience? What works for you?
