    well we are running a12 from duracool , it's friendly with all types of coolant lines and fittings . it's a tiki torch fuel . it's cooler than 134 or r12 and it uses a low head pressure so leaks don't happen and its easier on the whole system . we used it on this 340 4spd duster a my buds buick...

    i'd say no , but the lube my uncle used was just mineral oil with r12 . and he was a factory rep for frigidaire and a dealer for them as well .

    well that has not been an issues , i've even vented it into the shop with out any flaming torches . as a bic lighter it only becomes a flame when enterduced to a open flame or a spark at the right time , can't say i've lite or used a bic to look for leaks under the hood or anything else . it...

    yes its flammable , its used as a torch fuel . its mainly butane . but gasoline is flammable to right . and carb's vent to the air , the a/c is a closed loop .

    maybe you are just looking at the duster , that was just one i've converted , it works just as well in stock units as well . i don't have pics of the rivy with its factory compressor those big heavy long gm units . point is no need to change the parts just to fill your a/c units with 134r crap...

    man you don't have to go through all that , we used duracool torch lamp fuel , its half the head pressure and less apt'd to seep out , its been 4-5 years in two a/c cars i've done . still 52 degs out the vents . here is the duster . the other was a 69 rivy with a cad engine and gm compressor ...

    i've used it , and so has my buds . it works great . about half the head pressures and it don't leak down like the others do . works with any oem or aftermarket a/c systems as well . this duster puts out @ 56 deg temps from the outlets . and its been done for years .
