    Yes, I hear ya. I spent a fortune on Bud's calipers and everything. I could never get it to work properly. Real frustrating waste of time and money. My new set up works very nice OEM look as well, and the car stops like a dream now. If you want to get a kit from me later, I'll do that for you.

    That would be great if you could measure yours the fellow that told me it is different is not by his car right now, I used tape to test it and sure enough youncant see anything through itnif you mount it as far forward as the drivers side .

    Thanks guys I got a reply from someone with the factory install mirror and it is mounted further back on the right side then on the driver side from the factory to allow proper visibility! Thanks for all your help .

    Hello, was your mirror factory option? I Guess if your not normally using the right mirror its not a big deal for me i use it all the time backing out of my drive way. Is your right mirror the same distance from the front door edge as the drivers side, I assume it is but im trying to confim this...

    Thanks old man, me either , thats why i was asking someone to look at their 67 - 68 before I drilled holes in my beautiful original un restored 67 Imperial! Who would nocice half and inch or so difference for visibility tuning due to the vent window. Reg

    OK so you're saying it's the exact same dimension as the driver is side , I thought if I did that I wouldn't be able to see it because of the vent window ?
