    65 Sport Fury Console Resto

Have never seen woodgrain on dash of one of these. Only talking of console top plate 65 300 L and 65 Sport Fury. These were always woodgrain. Feature for your extra $ buying Sport Fury Other furies had flat/matte finish top plate on Plymouth Furies, other Plymouths may have had "ribbed" top...

    65 Sport Fury Console Resto

I wish my "woodgrain" applique looked as good as yours! I would have left it alone. This was some kind of "design tape" applique Mamopar used. pain in the butt ABC makes fiberglas repop of 4 speed "woodgrain" top plate $65. Looks good, just not made of original pot metal. I noticed your broken...

    how rare is a 65 Monaco 426 4-speed???

I have an original 4989 radiator on a 65 300 L 4 speed. It has no line connections at the bottom of the tank. Does that mean Ma Mopar added line connections to a 4989 that was used on sticks?

    how rare is a 65 Monaco 426 4-speed???

Has anyone ever seen a 4989 radiator that had the auto trans line connections at the bottom? I think the 4989 is a "stick only" radiator

    how rare is a 65 Monaco 426 4-speed???

Egg on my face. I apologize for misleading anyone. I am apparently wrong about the 365 horse motor. Don't know where I got that. I guess from the 65 413 365 in Sport Furies. This is an excerpt from George Riehl of 300Club Intl before he passed away. He was the premier 300 letter car guru.: "The...

Just noted the C3 413 with "special cam" listed in above excerpt from part manual. Never noticed that before! It's C3 only, that means Chrysler 300. Now, I have to go scour engine part of manual for this C3 413 "special cam"

    how rare is a 65 Monaco 426 4-speed???

the 4989 radiator is std on ANY 65 4 speed engine, 383,413,or 426. It has no provision for A/T trans line fittings at the bottom of the tank. That's why they are so valuable. 4986 is not used on manual trans car. Again, my experience and opinions. I could be wrong. I'll look up in 65 parts...

    how rare is a 65 Monaco 426 4-speed???

I have have 3 65 300 L's. All 3 have code of 99. All 3 came with 413 365 hp, not 360hp, but 365hp. Not sure why. the only explanation that fits is that 99 code is what engine is the standard engine for that series car. The plot thickens. Also, every HP engine in any of the cars I have owned...

    Just Brought- 1965 300L 4 Speed

Good observations! I am pretty sure that all 4 speed L's had the woodgrain. I've never seen one without it. However, I've seen L automatics with flat, flat swirled, flat dulled finish, etc. Seems most SF 4 speeds I've seen have woodgrain. Ive seen SF auto's with dull finish, polished fi.nish, and...
