AC Evaporators, Condenser and HeaterCore Manufacture needs help from the ones doing the installs

I know it is not an easy task, but maybe a catalogue of what you sell, or want to make would be helpful. I have a formal now, (1974 - 1978) and would love to get the condenser, evaporator, and heater core.

Need help troubleshooting a temp issue.

At this point I would correct the leaking heater core, correct thermostat, and drive it. A cooling system that has been neglected can cause a lot of issues down the road, Since you are a mechanic, I would put a pressure tester on it.

Need help troubleshooting a temp issue.

When you drain the coolant, look inside the upper tank, if you see corrosion at the top, it will be like that all the way thru the radiator, another way to tell is remove the lower hose and look inside at the fin channels, if its corroded there, you might want to find a shop and have it cleaned...

Need help troubleshooting a temp issue.

One thing not mentioned already, Chrysler radiators have a tendency to clog at the bottom because of their design. This would also show up at highway speeds, but be good in slower traffic. First thing block off the heater core as suggested, top off the coolant level, and drive it to see what...

    Heater core question

Yes, I had one fail in my 2000 Ram pickup. Evaporator, and Heater Core, cost me $1,100.00 for everything.

    Heater core question

I agree with Stan. You have to disconnect the A/C lines to get the case out. If your A/C is working it is not to bad of a job, but sure as hell, you replace the heater core, the evaporator, will go south and you will have to do the whole job over again.

    Gauge issues

The factory voltage limiter is hard to check in the car. It uses a set of points the open and close rapidly. This keeps it at the 5 volts. When you check with your meter don't be surprised if you get a lot of bounce on your meter.

    Gauge issues

The Temp., and Fuel gauge gets their power from the voltage limiter on the back of the cluster. Bet it is going bad. Find one of the new constant power transistor ones.

That is a good sign your heater core is not plugged up.

    Gauge issues

Sounds like a sending unit problem. Are your other gauges working correctly? They all get there power supply from the same place.

No heat from 69 plymouth fury

Sounds like one or maybe two problems. The first one sounds like a binding temperature cable at the heater, or the blend door is jammed. You will have to remove the glove box to get access to the heater, disconnect the cable from the blend door and see which part is binding. After you get this...

what to use for 5/16 ac line repair

Should be able to find that line and bracket at the local Pick and Pull. Then have it installed with new "O" ring seals and recharged.

what to use for 5/16 ac line repair

As Dave stated above, A/C line is very heavy duty, and these systems are only to be worked on by certified repairers. What you can do, is get the complete used line from a wrecking yard, and have a shop splice it in. I would have the complete metal section replaced. Then at this time your system...
