The damper will actually say cast crank on it. Everything you never wanted to know about stock harmonic balancers. Harmonic Dampers 440 Source.com Kevin

    For Sale Dodge 440

There is nothing wrong with a cast crank other than having to deal with the torque converter or flywheel imbalance. Torque converter is easy, they make a flexplate with it built in to. Flywheel will require a trip to the machine shop. The block is a far weaker link than a cast crank is. Kevin

For Sale Disc brake rearend from 1975 imperial. $350

Parts for that setup are made of unobtanium. If the rotors and calipers are still serviceable, it's probably worth somewhere in that price ballpark to someone trying to keep one on the road but they would honestly be better served swapping a drum rear in place of the disc one. As far as a donor...

For Sale 46RE 4 speed automatic overdrive

My understanding is an RE can be converted to an RH just by swapping valve bodies if the computer control aspect is scaring anyone off. Kevin

Agreed, but the guy I was replying to was planning a disc upgrade on his 67 New Yorker. Kevin

For Sale Factory 65-68 C-body Factory BUDD Disc Brake Set Up

From just a resistance to fade standpoint, I don't see how a .875 thick rotor can outperform a 1.250 thick rotor. As I recall the Budd rotors were prone to warping for this reason. A thicker rotor will be able to handle more heat than a thin one. As far as the 4 piston caliper goes, is it...

For Sale Factory 65-68 C-body Factory BUDD Disc Brake Set Up

I realize technically the lower ball joints aren't part of a brake rebuild but if you are converting from drums you need them and you aren't doing that conversion for less than $2500 with new rotors, sleeved calipers etc. The last time I looked up the price of a Budd lower ball joint they were...

For Sale Factory 65-68 C-body Factory BUDD Disc Brake Set Up

Under no circumstances do you want this setup for anything other than a concours restoration. You can buy a running driving Cbody project for the cost of rebuilding Budd brakes. 69-73 single piston is the setup you need. Kevin

For Sale Factory 65-68 C-body Factory BUDD Disc Brake Set Up

That has been my understanding, cop cars in 65 and the rest of the fleet in 66. As with most things Mopar probably not written in stone and a salesman that knew who to call/what option code to ask for, might have got discs on a civilian order. Kevin

I'm pretty sure the rotor can be separated from the Cbody hub and installed on an Imperial hub if you had to. Kevin

For Sale 440 Super Commado Engine for Sale - Not Mine

Mid 70's "should" be cast crank but manual trans engines got steel cranks and HP blocks did too but not always. By the way, nothing special about an HP block over a regular block. HP got better internals like roller timing chain, wind age tray, 6pak type rods and better cam. Depending on the...

SOLD C body disc brake setup

You definitely don't want anything to do with those Budd brakes. The 69-73 discs require 15" wheels. After you drive it with a set of 235/70/15 tires on it, you won't miss the 14's. The Budd brakes used 15" wheels as well so if you are wanting to maintain an original appearance you could hunt...

For Sale mopar 6 pack - $2800 (Yorba Linda)

If that is indeed an OEM off an original sixpak car setup, those carbs are a long way off from worthless. Someone restoring a real Vcode car would gladly trade a new reproduction setup for it which is actually more than the asking price now. Herb's Parts - Mopar Restoration and Performance Kevin

    For Sale 4 speed $300

I believe the idler shaft was the weak spot on these especially the aluminum cased ones. The shaft ran directly in the case with no bushings. The aluminum would pound out causing leaks and allowing the shaft to wander around, neither one conducive to long transmission life. If caught in time the...
