No first hand personal knowledge but I know someone that used 5th Ave spindles on a 62 300 which I believe has the same front end as your 64. I think he had to mix and match some tie rod ends and ball joints to make it work. A set of Cordoba caliper adapters allows you to run the bigger 11.75...

Early 727 -64 to newer -66 and up swap

If it was me in a perfect world, I would have either found a big block 65 trans and rebuilt it using the late model input shaft and front pump assembly for better torque converter selection or got an output shaft and tail housing from a 65 and rebuilt the 64 trans with the new style input so I...

Good deal. Car looks great and if the only issue was that pinion seal, I'd say it was a trouble free road trip. You should give everyone a little primer on The Wreckhouse. Kevin

Disc Brake Conversion 1964 New Yorker

I've not done it myself but I believe you use the fmj lower ball joint assembly which incorporates the steering arm and it bolts to the spindle. The ball joint attaches to the lower control arm. One of the guys on Moparts did it on a 62 which should be the same as your 64. I think his username...

Disc Brake Conversion 1964 New Yorker

5th Ave spindles or any other FMJ body spindle apparently can be coaxed into working in that application. You need the early B-body style Cordoba caliper adapter so you can use the 11.75 Cordoba rotors. As far as kits go ECI has a well engineered one that will allow you to use your drum brake...
