    I would make sure that the rubber fuel hose connection at the tank is good. If it is cracked or porous the fuel pump (which is PULLING vacuum at that point) can suck in air and give some of the symptoms you identify. Same goes for any rubber fuel line from the tank line there it sits up front...

    The HEADLIGHT switch is pictured and the instructions are correct for that. Did you mean headlight switch or wiper switch?

    That happened to me on my 64 Imperial. Turns out the ammeter wires were loose (full current goes through the ammeter gauge). Check the connections at the back of the gauge

    Nice example/IMHO re-done seats. Two tone seats not offered like that in 66. FYI, I just sold a 67 4 door sedan New Yorker with a real 62k miles which I purchased from the original OLD LADY owner. I had the seats re-done by a pro in EXACTLY the same pattern, using EXACTLY the same material (SMS)...
