    Removing a vinyl top permanently on a formal, what does it involve?

    I would rather just paint the roof body color than replace the vinyl top. Would it be relatively simple to retrofit the car to be a non-vinyl top car? Would I need some different chrome trim? It's a 4-door hardtop. Thanks.
