1949 Disc Brakes

The FSM for my 53 Chrysler shows the bits and pieces. They appear to be very complicated.

Then again, the drum front brakes for that year weren't all that simple with dual brake cylinders and adjustments for each shoe. It takes a special tool to really set them up right.

Can you imagine trying to find replacement parts for those disc brakes?

I hate the "Center Plane" / "Total Contact" drum brakes on my Imperials. They are a pain in the *** to to work on and parts are expensive if you can find them.
