1966 Chrysler 300 · Sedan · Driven 35,000 miles 1966 chysler 300 this car has been driven daily for over the past year and runs perfectly. What I've done to it: all new brakes , brake lines, and hoses. 4 New tires the old spare is in the trunk but doesnt hold air for long. The engine: took the points out and installed a pertronix good high performance wires, new plugs, starter, radiator and battery, the gas tank was epoxy coated and is supposed to last forever. Everything has grease fittings underneath and get greased frequently. I've driven this car on a few long trips the last being Columbus this past weekend. This car is ready to be your sunday cruiser the patina is natural I'm asking $7000 *have a video of it starting up. Please text [hidden information] for additional information.

Down to $5400, been FS for 3 weeks..
Nice trim, perfectly straight, perfect sheetmetal gaps - I'd say the car's never been apart.
No rust above teh wheelwells, might be some down low but hard to tell, might just be dirt.
Seller doesn't mention engine size - a 440 TNT would be a nice surprise.
Does need some interior work, but doorpanels look like they can be saved with some stretching and contact cement.
Has many new parts installed and it sounds like a reliable sorted-out car.
And that trunk carpet screams that old folks owned this at some point.

Somebody stuff $4900 in 1 pocket, $200 in the other, and go buy this car.

Someone took it out and left me with 3 bows in the trunk! I think i need 4. i have two purples and a white.
I think the previous owner said it was hanging in his hair and he removed it.
I don't think it was in very good shape.

Welcome to the group!
So you bought it in July, and joined a few days ago. Did you already know of FCBO, or did you find us afterward?
Then - how did you find this story on your car that was from 6 months+ prior to your joining?
Seems like there is a cool set of events there?

As I mentioned up above, those doorpanel wrinkles should be easily repairable at home for low $$ and some patience.
For the faded black carpet on the doorpanels - I have had good luck 'dyeing' black carpet like this with flat-black spraycans.

Do appropriate masking, of course.
Fog it on dry -- don't coat it until its wet.
Fluff it periodically between coats when it's dry - so the fibers don't stick together.
Do coats from different angles to get good coverage.
Check your work from different angles/distances to look for spots you've missed.

Inter-mix this job with some other driveway work, and within the span of an afternoon that carpet will look 80% or better.

In another thread I had mentioned that I had been lurking on the site for a few weeks.
I found this thread when I searched "1966 Chrysler 300" Surprise Surprise! There is my car.

Welcome from east texas. Also a 300 fan! Lots of potential left in that one!
