A local FB group sharing historic photos of my hometown and surrounding areas of the 805 shared this cool pic! The Elks Rodeo parade held a raffle for a new car every year (not anymore.) We can only see the tail portion, but I instantly recognized that beautiful tail end from anywhere! So awesome to think you could've just WON that car. Pictured is Rodeo Queen of 1966, Yolanda Ruiz drawing the name of the lucky winner. Our Chrysler dealership then would have been Iversen Motors, home of the Hiking Viking! It is still in the same spot to this day, only now it has new ownership.
