1970 Fury Tinted QuarterGlass $50, for pair

My 1970 Fury parts car was a PH29 body car (1[SUP]st[/SUP] 4 characters of VIN). These are 2 rare pieces of quarter glass. According to my Hollander book, they only fit 1969-70 Plymouth Fury 29 body cars: no Dodges and no Chryslers. Surprisingly, according to Hollander, they also do not fit any 1971 models. If other members want to comment on this limited fitment, I’d be glad to know the reason.

Condition: the factory tint is nice and overall condition is excellent. There are no cracks. The glass has a few very light wear marks from the channel weather strip. Running my fingers over the glass, I can feel a few tiny paint flecks, although these are invisible to the eye. The car had 2 repaints, which probably explains it. A little paint thinner and a plastic scraper would probably take care of them. Any black spots visible in the pictures are on my drop cloth or are debris from my oak trees, which shed a lot this time of year.

The stainless trim is present on the right side glass, but missing on the left side glass.

Shipping: either UPS or Fedex would pack, ship, and insure these for you. I could give you the number of either local office, you could give them your credit card, and I could drop off the parts. I will drop off as a free service. PM me if interested. Local pick up in Aylett, Virginia, is also an option.

just spoke to a guy who was very knowledgeable about these year Furys he told me that the rear glass was different if there was a concave rear window.

The cars that have 29 as the 3rd and 4th characters of the VIN do have concave rear windows as you look at them from the back. These quarter windows fit only those 2 door cars. They do not fit if the 3rd and 4th characters of the VIN are 21, which is a 2-door post sedan or 23 which has a convex rear window as you look at it from the back. I believe that all the Fury GT cars were 23 cars. If you look at a picture of a GT versus a 29 model Sport Fury or Fury III, you could see the difference in the rooflines.
What I don't understand is why these wouldn't fit a 1971 29 body Fury, which also has the concave rear window. The 1971 29 body looks the same as 1970 to me. Maybe your friend could enlighten us on that.
