1971 Chrysler New Yorker Sedan Power windows Hot heat AM factory radio sounds good Good brakes 318 engine Automatic Very soft seats that could use a little attention in a couple spots in the pictures The car has a lot of room Very large clean trunk Smooth solid ride Very nice clean frame, rust free The vinyl part of the roof is looking a little rough, located in the pictures It has a few little dings and dents Pretty nice vehicle for its age It didn’t have a motor in it when I got it and all I could get was a 318 to put in it .. It runs and drives good. Has very good power you wouldn’t be able to tell that it didn’t have a 440 that originally came in those cars It’s one of our daily drivers that we still enjoy driving 3000.00 thanks for looking

A ‘71 NYer with a 318? Uh uh…

Man oh man, Short of the vinyl top and the drivers seat, she seems to be ib really nice shape.. A 318 does sound small for such a large car, ordered that was I suppose.

As the add says, the guy bought the car without a drivetrain and put in a replacement 318 driveline...hats off to him as it saved a nice, solid car.

Pretty rare as not many NYs came in sedan form.

i'd be interested in production numbers, in my experience a great many NYers came in sedan form. i've had 3, but that was in the days before i started to build my knowledge, and was buying $600 cars in the 80s.....

If you read the advertisement you might have noticed: "It didn’t have a motor in it when I got it and all I could get was a 318 to put in it .. "
And also the part of where poster states: " Has very good power for being used and old , you wouldn’t be able to tell that it didn’t have a 440 that originally came in those cars It’s one of our daily drivers that we still enjoy driving it on the weekends "

People scream,, save it,, save it,, someone save it.. Well,, this person saved it as best as they could...
Soooo, instead of being cynical,, read the entire advertisement...... :) :)
