Not mine. The seller on FB is asking $4k. The header of the ad says it is a NYB but the ad explains it is a NYer -- indeed the tag starts with CH23 and the sail panel script shows it's a "base" NYer.

Description: "72 Chrysler New Yorker... 440 v8...727 Auto. (...) The rear tire/wheels have been swapped out for driving purposes. I do have the complete set. The interior looks to have been replaced in the early 2000s (brand new carpet in box from Year One that goes with it) mostly white with black suede inserts throughout. Headliner has been replaced as well. No cracks on the dashpad. The body is what you see in the pictures (I'm not a painter/body guy) Brake lines have been replaced recently along with some electronics under the hood including the battery. It has a Holley 750 vaccum secondary carb with electric choke(needs recalibrating?). It's got good exhaust and sounds great! The engine runs great (could use a tuneup). Tranny shifts out good. Brakes disc frt/drum rear work fine. Ive been driving it around town for the past couple weeks without any issues except the old tires."

Note that the car has two sets of wheels, including a set of road wheels with caps.

The car appears to have been restored with a non-trivial amount of money spent on it some years ago. The original white vinyl top was replaced by white paint. In contrast, the seats seem to have been redone close to correctly, as shown in this Hamtramck scan of what the F6XW trim should look like.

Based on the info from the ad, @71Polara383 and I asked for more photos a few days ago. The seller said that he'd upload them on FB but they are not there as of this morning, so I am posting them here for records as I have decided to pass on the car. If I decipher the tag correctly, it shows CH23T2C213248.

It is showing a lot of lower body rust and appears to have been repainted and repaired with bondo at least once. This will be an ambitious car to bring back. Given the amount of lower body rust the frame rails are also suspect. There is also rust on the rear window channel and the top to quarter seams. This car is overpriced relative to it's current condition.

That's a decent car yet. I would be all over that but I am out of room and time with cars. Probably go a little lower say $2800. to $3k for it.

The car is now on eBay. Reserve not met with one bid at $2k. Additional info from the seller (I've edited out typos and bolded the info that would matter to someone like me):

"Original 440 (...) Most of the Brake lines and Master Cyl. replaced recently... Some electronics and new battery recently replaced... Big bolt 15" rallye wheels (tires are definitely needing replaced but hold air) thats why I've got 2 oddballs on the rear for driving purposes .. Seats and headliner had been redone in the early 2000s.. It has been repainted and some bodywork done some time ago.. The spots that you see in the pictures are not (holes). The roof/body seams are exposed due to the filler coming out(clean & refillable).. It has a couple of other small spots that needs attention as well.. Trunk has no holes at all (also has the original cardboard that goes on each side inside the trunk..The front floors are rusty where the door and floor meet on both sides (didnt see any holes through it) It also comes with Brand New carpet from Year One still in box...I have some reciepts from the previous owner... This car runs and drives great.. The choke will need to be recalibrated and a tune up would make the drivetrain perfect.. a/c is still setup for R12 refrigerant... Blower fan doesnt work from the switch... Rear defrost does work...Both front windows roll up and down.. The rear quarter windows do not. All turn signals w/fender indicators work.. Brake lights.. Underhood light and trunk lights work.. Interior.. Headlights as well. Ive tried to describe it to the best of my knowledge..

Engine is listed improperly, it is not hi-output, standard T-Code 440.

Dave

That's why I edited out that info. The relevant bit is that the engine is said to be the original one (I'd want to see pics of the numbers of course).

Many not-well-informed sellers/flippers appear to think "440 = high power." Well,... nope! But because that's a common mistake and there was no high-power (U-code) option on 1972 Chryslers, the reader can skip that bit.

The car was bid up to $3.2k on eBay, no sale. It has been reposted on FB for $500 more than the initial price

Here are a few more pics for records, showing the front valence, and the door hinges and sills.
