I think it was a special order, based on what I saw in the factory color selection book on hamtramck-historical.com.

Yeah, I dig the look, too. From back in the day when people weren’t terrified of vivid car colors.

i asked my aunt yesterday when they bought the Newport what make them get yellow. she said her husband did not want to look like every body else's. blue, white, red, green. wanted something different. i'm glad they choose that one.
