This car has been around forever! I know because of the box thingie mounted right around the driver's left knee. I never forget a Salon. I etch each one I see in my mind.

Is that a factory option or a dealer installed U-Haul accessory or a period correct aftermarket part?

My 1978 data book doesn't have anything in it about an optional brake controller. Did they even have those for passenger cars back then???
