So the wife has owned a Nizzan Sentra since new {1.6L) and I rebuilt the engine recently and found the gas tank pump to be crapped out. That's okay, I found a module on eBay that replaces the entire fuel pump, pickup, sensor unit and gauge for $70. No probs, slipped in easy and everything connected up until I got to the last electrical plug (the other electrical plug supplies power to the pump.) and found I have a four pin connector when the housing on the new unit is a three pin, arrrgh. After lengthy checks online I cannot find a four pin unit for the tank at all. They are all three pin, plus I made extra extra sure I was putting the specs of the car in correctly and the three pin is all that's available.

So, has anyone any experience with this car and know a way to wire up an adapter plug?

I would find the wiring diagram and try to figure out what the 4th pin does. Most of these units were plastic. I suspect the 4th pin is probably a ground for the sensor. If that is the case you should be able to rig a ground to the extra pin. It is also possible that the replacement units have a ground incorporated for the sensor via the pump circuit so they do not need the 4th pin.

If you have the old pump, you might be able to trace the wires from the plug to see where they go within the unit.
