Ive looked his site over and he sells 489s for under 1400 which is a lot of coin. Rebuilding a unit would probably be half that..... I hate taking stuff to guys Im not sure about

The guy I know of I would never recommend. Maybe try posting on the Cowtown Mopar Facebook page.

@horvaths i may go talk to ol jeff @ plano transmission and see who he says... hell maybe he will do it even.

as much as i like san antonio, thats a helluva drive. too cold for schlitterbahn yet too :(

for you poor bastards that will never get to go to schlitterbahn . . .
a long time ago, this dude took part of a river and diverted the water flow some, and made a kick *** water park right on the river edge, using the natural spring fed river water.. several of the rides are *in* the river, or dump you out into the river at the rides exit. you can also go tubing or rafting or whatever.

It is a drive. You could ship it, and I'll drop it off... but that would be probably 100 bucks each way in shipping

Jeff's a great guy. He built the trans in my Blue Moose and my dad's Satellite. Good luck with it.

Looking to do the same thing for '68 New Yorker. Mine has a 2.76 open ratio. I think 3.55 would make it come alive. Let us know how it turns out.
