Good Day All
Does anyone have any 'Carter' carburetor info sheets that show jet and metering rod sizes? A 'Google' search shows lots of info on AFB/AVS models, but is thin on the BBD's. Have a rebuilt BBD 3850S ('65 Chrysler 383 auto) that will be gone through this winter and am looking for the 'base line'. The carb works well as is, although the plugs are white in color. As with any rebuilt, the parts that rebuild it are not always the 'correct' parts.
Any info appreciated.
Thanks to all who respond

Go here; jholst.net Chrysler 300K Home Page and download the "specs" and the "fuel" sections of the FSM. This is a much better and complete copy rather than the MyMopar version.

In the specs, you'll find jet size and step-up rod numbers.

Step-Up sizes

You'll probably have to enlarge this.

The FSM always listed the BBD main jet sizes and other things related to the carb, but usually not the decode for the metering rods. If the carb works well as it is, just a normal "kit" should keep things working well. If the metering rod tips might show a bit of wear, no problems as that just makes the mixture a slight bit richer . . . which might be needed with E10 fuels anyway.

Enjoy!
