I got my Dads 66 Fury off my brother and it needs a little attention.
Rear right wheel cylinder was leaking for a few years. So when I got under and looked, thought it might be a good time to change both rear wheel cylinder, brake shoes, both R+ L hard brake lines and flex line in middle. I am in Calgary Alberta and the car is in whistler BC area, so I can't run out and look!
The block on the rear axle that the R+L lines go into , is that part of the rear flex line? ,or does the rear (centre) flex lines screw into the block? The reason I ask is I ordered a new rear flex line and it did not come with the block. It has been a while since working on old mopars, but I thought the brass block was part of the rear flex line.
Also I think that the one drum with the leak will be no good, it was driven for a few years with a leaky wheel cylinder. I could try cleaning it and then maybe turn it slightly, but I'm not sure how much meat is left on the drum. I measured the inside of the drum and it seems to be 11" and the shoes are 2". The rear axle may be from a 66 Windsor, not sure , a lot of updates were done over the years. So I may have to pick up another drum.
When I go back out there at the end of the month I hope to get most of the work done then.
