Do I understand correctly: is it possible that-69 Imp ball joints could be press fitted or with threads? And if so, how to identify without removing? Press fitted is round outside and thread fitted is square outside?
Thanks in advance,
Mika

I did a little research. Looks like threaded uppers and press fit lowers. I worked on many Chrysler front ends back in the day but never an Imperial. The C bodies used the ball joint that attached to the knuckle with bolts. Back in the seventies they were about $35 which was double what the GM press ins were.

Thanks, you're right. Now it makes sense..
