When I first read the article on Hagerty about bands that were named using automobile references, such as The Cars, The TBirds, etc, I thought this album with Chrysler in the name with the hands from Michelangelo's painting holding the Pentastar keys and the parody of the play Jesus Christ Superstar seemed clever. But I thought of my mother, who was our pastor's secretary for 30 years. She would have thought it to be in very poor taste and sacrilegious. If it had been something I had purchased, it would have gone straight into the garbage can. The greatest generation had standards, a thing that is lacking for many people today. She died Dec. 2017 at almost 89, and she can still wipe a smile off my face.

For those not familiar with the industrial metal band Ministry and their album, Jesus built my hotrod and the T-shirt they sold at their shows. I had one I picked up at a concert back in the 90's and wore the thing out.

I think your particular example is humorous and not in poor taste.

However, your sentiment about society swirling the toilet as the WWII gen passes is well-taken.
