Door panels

I was wondering what kinda board I would use to make new door panels, the ones I have are completely trashed due to the last owner leaving them outside, I have a 1968 dodge polara 500 convertible or does anyone know where I could find another pair mine are electric windows..thanks

I'd probably look for something like this at your local upholstery shop. Make sure you keep the originals to use as a template on the new board.

The thing is they are crumpled up i still may be able to get a pattern off them but they are not to good at all..

Well, then you'd have to get a sheet of masking paper, affix it to your door, and trace along the edge out where the panel goes, and then the holes for windows, arm rest, etc. You at least know how the panels should look from the originals.

Otherwise you're going to have to find a set of used panels from someone.

Well that's what I'm trying to do first before I try and make them lol

You could always send them off to SMS and then 8 months and $795 later, you have perfect looking door panels.

Yea i think I'll do them myself that's a bit to much for me at the moment..

I redid mine. I used the board listed above.

Door Panel repair

For some reason, I left off that I used 3M Spray Trim Adhesive to glue the vinyl to the board.
