I did not work on the 66 today, I did however go help my buddy stuff a bb Chevy 454 w/ corvet 6 speed into a space that was previously occupied buy a sb ford 302 w/C4 auto... Anything is possible if you have a big enough hammer and a good torch.
1960 Ford truck confused by it's new heart.

They make 440 kits for the 6.1 but it's pushing it too far to handle boost or spray.

There are aftermarket aluminum 440 blocks though. Big bucks....
 
I wish I could do that. Next time some knucklehead asks if it's one of those 440 Hemis I can go Yah....

Well, you can prolly have an aluminum 440 Hemi built for 30K or so. Well worth the "yah it's a 440 Hemi". Right?
 
Ok, at least it's a Big Block. I'm getting tired of seeing 350s or their stroked out derivatives in nearly half the cars at shows.
 
I had a 61 Ford 4x4 with a built 352 that went like stink. One of the most impressive engines from my youth.
