I am getting ready to replace my hood frame on my HURST. I know its glued and riveted on. Has anyone ever done this and are there any tricks to doing it correctly? Also which is the best glue to use?

Yes,....have you separated your Hurst fiberglass hood from the steel frame yet?

You can use a variety of two part products.

I think 3M Heavy Body Seam Sealer should work for you. Try getting it an an auto paint store or try Amazon, they may have it.

Don't try "hardware store" variety epoxies,...they won't hold up.

I restored my Hursts`s front hood this wintertime without removing the frame.
Watch the pictures.

I'm pretty sure the latch loop should be painted with the hood, the secondary latch is natural (phosphate).
