Rare crown jewel hidden for many years
1 of 10 built and 1 of 2 true Italian-built
1965 Imperial Crown Ghia limousines known to exist.
A true 1965 Italian Ghia will have a 413 engine and
pushbutton transmission, which this one does.
The mechanics were redone over the past several years
It runs and drives, but needs body, paint and interior
restoration, which we cannot do due to disability.

Previous owner said it belonged to Janet Dulles
(wife of John Foster Dulles) who bought it new
(or maybe the gov't did). She may have painted it silver
and used it in her work at the Thailand Embassy in
Washington, D.C. from 1965-1969.

It is possible Presidents Johnson and Nixon, as well
as Robert Kennedy, and the Dulles's friend Dwight
Eisenhower and who knows how many other dignitaries
may have ridden in this vehicle. It is also possibly the
last true Italian-built Ghia limousine in the world.

Will sacrifice this rare piece of history to a good home
or museum for $165,000.00/neg. May take in partial trade,
a newer model 4dr 4x4 full size truck or possibly another
classic or antique vehicle.

How many "Possible" famous butts "May" have ridden in this "Rare Crown Jewel" magic carpet ride, to justify a $165K asking price?? Plus, those photos are just horrible. I am sure that in 1965, that Imperial Limo must of been a real beauty, especially with all that custom italian body work. Chrysler sure designed some wonderful cars in the 50's to the 70's. - Good Luck with the sale....... but it "May" be a while!

Be lucky to get 1/3 of the price.

Close to my original home where I grew up in Oakland MD. Left there in 1975 to go to Central WV for college and work life. Been in SW Fl for 23 years now. Don't want to burst your bubble but if you cannot provide proof of the diplomatic and political connections, I would say you are only about $100k+ too high on that asking price. I am thinking you added one too many zeros at the end of the price. Especially for the type ad location you are using. A high end car (if this one ever becomes that again) needs to be at Mecum or advertised on BAT, Hemmings, etc.

The Ghia build quality was of the highest quality. This one used to be one classy vehicle, high above the mundane Cadillac 75’s and Lincolns. It is very laborious to restore, too, because there were so many custom made parts in it. - Sorry to see it in such a declined state. It is way overpriced.
