interchange of parts from a 68 sport fury to a 66 sport fury

i have a 1966 sport fury the interior is destroyed, I also just came across a 1968 sport fury that I am about to buy. It has fantastic interior and the console is in great shape, I was wondering if all the interior panels will work inside the 66 sport fury.

everything except interior sailpanels should work,
the body line is diff on the roofline/sail panels i think<<
i myself stripped a couple of 68s and the trim/parts were the same/except for windshield wipers.
however,i may be wrong and hopefully one of the gurus will swing by.

having said that,why not keep both?

I would love to keep the 68 because it is a fast top car but the frame rails are destroyed and im no good with welding lol

removeable and replaceable?
or is it the rear frame rails?

I'd think you'd run into many many fitment issues between a 66 and a 68. There were a ton of changes in 67 that would translate to a 68 but were drastic departures from 66.
You'll see that across the board with slabs between 66 and 67. 66 had more in common with 65 than with 67.
Hate to be a bummer .. but hell, I may be wrong.

yup its the rear rails

if << the cars worth saving,swapping rear frame rails arent bad at all.
parts from a donor car and make yourself a new friend who Can weld,and youd be set.

just a thought,as we have saved cars nobody else would touch.
some of them are still being driven around to this day.

yea I just at first glance everything inside looks like it will work. I do intend on measuring small cuts here and there if need be the interior is fantastic and it would cost me a arm and an leg to get the 66 that way.
