I've got a 67 polara 2dr hrdtp that originally had a 318 in it and I'm looking to drop in a 440. I thought I read some time ago that a 440 would fit right in without me drilling into the k frame as long as it was a 71 or earlier. Don't know if this is true but trying to find the older blocks is far harder than just buying a 70's motor home block and building it from the ground up. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

No differences in 440 mounting, all years.

You'll need the correct mounts for the year, but that's pretty obvious.

The lower part of the mount is the same across the board for all the V-8 engines (and pretty much across the brand for late sixties/early seventies) and the upper 440 brackets span a lot of years too. I'm not sure if a motorhome upper bracket will be the same (probably is), but a passenger car upper bracket will be. If you have the upper bracket, the two will bolt together and a new lower bracket with insulator is $10.

Thanks for all of the feedback. Work bought me an iPhone and I kind of hated it, but being part of a good forum directed towards the big mopars is a nice perk. I guess sometimes being solely analog has its drawbacks. Thanks a ton! I'm sure I'll have more questions for you guys.
