The original windlace is a cloth windlace (synthetic fiber) with a foam tube insert and a woven metal mash piece which provides stability and structure for "wrinkle free" installation.
I am attaching pics of the original windlace that I am hoping to replace with a windlace that also comes with the attached woven mesh portion for installation.
So far I have only found "Cloth Windlaces" that do NOT come with the metal mesh part. Talked to Newstalgia and the don't offer it - just regular cloth windlace.
Are any reproductions with metal mesh available and if not what is the best option for replacement?
Thanks for your help!

Restoration Specialties in PA carries the non cloth windlace with metal inside that molds very good. I can get some pictures if you would like.

Thanks very much for your reply @WCW1965 - yes, definitely interested in some sample pics to gat an idea.
I looked at their website
Windlace & Welting
but couldn't find the particular one with the metal mesh I am looking for - maybe I missed it.
Any additional info would be greatly appreciated - thank you!
