Lower hose spring for a 413 V8

OK here is the story. In looking for hoses for the 65 413 I see that it is hard to fine a lower hose with the spring in it. I see that the cure is a 13" X 1 5/8" spring that Ford web sites sell. Is this a legitimate fix? Other options?

Yes.

Some will say you don't need it, but I use one.

I have seen lower hoses collapse, so it is a good idea to have one in there.

I bought them too from the Ford site, and use them.
