I just took delivery of the replacement top for the 78 NYB. It is a perfect fit. You can see that it is made in such a way as to be Imperial and NY Salon friendly too...although I do not have the smaller rear window, so I don't need that.

The only issue is that the grain is not the same as factory, but I can live with that! (Nobody has the original grain in silver).

Owning a non muscle car, especially a New Yorker makes me leery that items will not fit...well they came through for me!

I've draped it on the car to take a form before I get it installed.

Don't hesitate to use them for your top needs...I am VERY happy!

Can you show a close up of the grain? I suspect its the GM style (Lavante? Sp?) which is correct for a Salon. If so, I will order one.

I just had my 1976 Chrysler Cordoba half vinyl top replaced. The upholster was able to find the exact material as when new. A friend of mine helped with replacing the body putty in the seam for the roof to rear quarter. I spent about $400 for the removal and body work and $900 to the Upholster.

I'll be very happy with the Elk grain. Sure, I could have gone the SMS route to be correct, but it's not going to ever be a perfect restoration...it's a summer cruiser. Plus, I don't want to be in perpetual purgatory waiting for a replacement top to enjoy the car.

I got this top in a week and a half. As I said VERY happy with Tops Online!
