No ashtray's

I was thinking last night about cars no longer having ashtrays, mine has a fake plastic plug shaped like a lighter for the lighter socket. I was at a warehouse today and saw this between the urinals.

I remember the hand made signs in various factories and gas station rest rooms that said "Don't throw butts in urinal". Usually at least one word was misspelled.

That was back when everyone smoked everywhere... Except me... I never developed the habit except for the occasional cigar.

I made ash trays for my Dad in metal shop in junior high school. I turned down a diesel truck piston on a lathe.
I think that I have one in the things that we cleaned out of my Mom’s house, before we sold it. I will have to check.

I have a ceramic ashtray I made for my Dad when I was in fourth grade. Mom had kept that all these years, and she produced it and all of my grade school pictures one day, out of the blue! She said "You have a package coming, look for it!", and there it was. This ended up with me again about 2007 or so. Pics of my masterpiece below!
