I think I know what you mean. But for some reason I don't feel the same.
As far as the Turbine is concerned, it indeed was made in Eye-taly, by Ghia, a once noble brand, which now belongs to Ford, who comprometted it into a mere badge-engineering exercise right after they laid their hands on it in the beginning of the '70's.
The Turbine looks to me pretty darn elegant even today. For some reason they put the taillights up front, however. They looked mighty imposing at the rear of the '61 Bird.
